Welcome to The Restless Maker website!

Why TRM?

The term “The Restless Maker” embodies  my nature and creative identity. This website is intended to serve as a hub for my adventures and explorations, providing insights into my technical and artistic projects. As I have many diverse interests, material presented here will probably be versatile as well. I am perfectionist that have special gift to find a “flaw” in everything except manmade, and my natural reaction to it is to improve it. I often hack, modify completely functional products just to make it even better. It does not always goes according to plan, but I always learn something in a process.

I hope you will find something to be inspired with, or interesting projects that you can recreate yourself based on the provided files and examples.  I am very open to constructive criticism, so feel free to comment and suggest here, and on my YouTube videos. I am sure there is a better, more effective or simpler way to do things.

Challenges

Being an ADHD person, presents a distinct set of challenges and opportunities in the creative process. The journey of creativity can be impacted significantly by the unique neurological wiring associated with ADHD.

The natural tendencies of distraction result in an overwhelming influx of new ideas that can derail an ongoing project. This inconsistency, while frustrating, also fosters an innovative mindset, allowing for a broader spectrum of creative exploration.

I might start multiple projects, abandoning them halfway through only to chase the next bright idea. This cycle can often lead to feelings of inadequacy or frustration. The struggle to channel and cultivate my thoughts into finished products is real, which comes as a burden after so many years.

What I remember from my early days is, if something I am working on, people find useful, or at least inspirational, I have much greater chance to finish it. So, this website along with the YouTube channel has potential to help me stay on track.

Portfolio

Really beautiful work – economic use of materials, clever design, and it could let you put a drum machine in your kitchen so you can cook music and food for a brilliant evening. What’s wonderful to me is that these designs relate the scale of those music-making objects to human hands. You just want to put your fingers on these devices and make some music.

YouTube

Although I have already created few travel videos for fun, and I really enjoy the process, filming while working on a project present a certain set of challenges especially if it includes dirty work.
I have zero experience talking to the camera. Until I gain some confidence I will keep it to a minimum. 🙂

If you are interested, you can watch few of my travel video collages from my personal YouTube channel.
